# Signing in to Stableship

> How to sign in or create an account, and what to do when sign-in does not work.

## How do I sign in?

Go to app.stableship.ai and choose **Continue with GitHub**. Signing in and signing up are the same step: the first time you continue with GitHub, Stableship creates your account.

GitHub sign-in only shares your GitHub profile and email address. It gives Stableship no access to your repositories; that comes later, when you install the Stableship GitHub App and pick repositories during setup.

## Can I sign in with email instead?

Yes. On the sign-in page, enter your email under "or use email" and choose **Email me a sign-in link**. The link works once and expires in an hour. If it does not arrive, use **Continue with GitHub**, which is the quickest way in.

## I signed in and landed on setup again

Until an app has finished setup, Stableship takes you back to the first unfinished setup step each time you sign in. Finish the steps, or use **Skip for now** to reach the app.

## I joined from an invite and see the wrong workspace

An invite only works for the email address it was sent to. Sign in with an account that uses that address, then open the invite link again. See "Team members and invites".
